The Instacart plugin is a tool that can be used to create a shopping list based on a recipe or meal plan. When a user mentions a recipe or meal plan, the assistant can use the plugin to generate a list of ingredients needed. The plugin can also exclude items that the user already has from the shopping list.
For example, if a user asks for a recipe for a chocolate cake, the assistant can generate a list of ingredients like flour, sugar, cocoa powder, etc., and provide a link to Instacart where the user can purchase these ingredients.
The plugin can also handle multiple options for ingredients. For instance, if a recipe calls for ‘butter or margarine’, the plugin will separate these into individual ingredients in the shopping list.
If a user mentions that they already have certain ingredients, these will be marked as “you already have” and won’t be added to the shopping list.
The assistant will always ask the user if they want to purchase the ingredients and related items on Instacart. If the user agrees, the assistant will generate a shopping list using the Instacart plugin.
The plugin is designed to make meal planning and grocery shopping easier by providing a convenient way to purchase all the necessary ingredients for a recipe or meal plan.
